Zapp Electric Vehicles Limited, a UK-based company that specializes in high-performance electric two-wheelers, has won the Red Dot Award for Product Design in the category of electric motorcycles. This latest accolade follows the company’s success at the Good Design Award, the German Design Award, and the E-Mobility Awards.
The i300 Carbon Launch Edition is Zapp’s debut product, and it is available to pre-order on the company’s website. The electric two-wheeler features a unique ‘Z’-shaped exoskeleton architecture that lowers the weight and center of gravity, delivering exceptional on-road performance and handling. The i300 can accelerate from 0-30 mph in just 2.3 seconds, and its exoskeleton architecture also maximizes efficiency and battery range.
The i300 also boasts an ultra-portable double battery system that can be charged from 20% to 80% via a standard 220v/110v wall socket in approximately 40 minutes. The battery pack’s portability makes it easy to charge anywhere and at any time without relying on a public charging network.
Zapp is committed to sustainable design and production, and the i300 exemplifies the company’s mission to create truly sustainable products. Most of the i300’s components are recyclable, and its exoskeleton architecture lowers the number of components required for assembly, reducing assembly steps and energy used.
