Limited to a mere 300 pieces, this exceptional timepiece boasts a 43-millimeter case crafted from the exquisite 18-carat Armor Gold®, housing a captivating deep blue dial adorned with a stunning sunray finish. The centerpiece of this watch is the flying minute tourbillon elegantly positioned at 6 o’clock.
Driven by the IWC-manufactured 82905 calibre featuring a Pellaton winding system, this complication marvel exhibits an impressive power reserve of 80 hours. Aesthetically, the oscillating mass takes the form of an asteroid, featuring the endearing image of the little prince standing upon it, visible through the sapphire glass case back.
“The Little Prince” remains a timeless tale, translated into over 250 languages, capturing hearts worldwide. Since 2013, IWC’s collaboration with Saint-Exupéry’s heirs has birthed several Pilot’s Watches, marrying deep blue dials with technical prowess, embodying the union of poetry and engineering, much like the author’s intertwining of writing and flying.
In celebration of the 10th anniversary of the “Le Petit Prince” editions, IWC unveils the Big Pilot’s Watch 43 Tourbillon Le Petit Prince (Ref. IW329502), a limited edition masterpiece featuring a case and crown meticulously crafted from the durable 18-carat Armor Gold®. The deep blue dial, with its radiant sunray finish, complements the gold-plated hands and appliques filled with Super-LumiNova®, creating an enigmatic luminescence in darkness. Completing the ensemble is a brown calfskin strap with an 18-carat Armor Gold® folding clasp.
At the heart of the watch lies the flying minute tourbillon at 6 o’clock, mitigating the effects of gravity on the oscillating system, thus enhancing precision. Its intricacies, comprising 56 parts weighing a mere 0.663 grams, and adorned with Diamond Shell® technology on the pallet lever and escape wheel, optimize energy flow and minimize friction.
Driving this masterpiece is the IWC-manufactured 82905 calibre movement, boasting a Pellaton winding system reinforced with ceramic components.
