The North Face has released a new iteration of their hiking boots, the Vectiv Exploris II, which features the brand’s VECTIV™ technology. This technology is designed to enhance energy and performance on the trail by combining an ultra-light and supportive footplate, midsole rocker geometry, and SurfaceCTRL™ grip. The Vectiv Exploris II has been engineered to go the distance with improved stability, comfort, and support.
One of the notable changes from the original version is a broader platform below the foot, which provides greater inherent stability. The stack height has also been increased by 2mm to improve comfort and support. The rockered midsole now features a forked heel and forefoot, as well as a TPU plate for increased lateral displacement and stability.
The upper of the North Face Vectiv Exploris II is made with a breathable and waterproof FUTURELIGHT™ membrane, which has been reinforced in the heels and toes for protection on rocky trails. The boot is made on an updated D-width last that accommodates a broad set of consumer foot shapes.
The sole unit of the Vectiv Exploris II features the VECTIV™ 2.0 rockered midsole, which has been engineered to create long-lasting forward propulsion. The midsole is made with premium EVA foam and has a 2mm greater stack height than the S21/F21 version. The Surface CTRL™ rubber outsole with 4mm lugs is designed for durability in high-wear areas.
The Vectiv Exploris II has been designed with input from The North Face® athletes and is a waterproof and breathable hiking boot that is built to last on any terrain.
