Future Motion, the company renowned for its Onewheel electric boards, has just unveiled its latest innovation, the Onewheel GT S-Series. This highly anticipated release was announced at the grand Unleashed launch event in the picturesque Santa Cruz Mountains.
The Onewheel GT S-Series is a remarkable leap forward, meticulously designed with input from professional riders to deliver unrivaled performance. Speaking about this groundbreaking board, Future Motion’s Founder and CEO, Kyle Doerksen expressed his excitement, “S-Series has the power and performance most Onewheel riders dreamt of but didn’t think was possible. This was the first time we truly set out to create a board for those who are pushing the boundaries of the sport. It took over a year of development and intensive testing with the best riders, but the proof is in the pudding. Even casual riders will notice a huge difference in the capability and confidence that the S-Series inspires.”
So, what sets the Onewheel GT S-Series apart? At its core, it boasts a revolutionary 113V drivetrain, offering 50% more voltage than the previous Onewheel GT model. This enhanced powertrain delivers exceptional torque at high speeds while maintaining energy efficiency due to the higher voltage. The board is powered by cutting-edge Molicell battery cells, and a redesigned battery management system and power electronics. The motor is factory-tuned for maximum power and comes with upgraded magnets and ultra-premium NSK bearings imported from Japan for an incredibly smooth and reliable ride.
The Onewheel GT S-Series introduces several new features and enhancements to boost its performance, including:
Increased Power: The 113V high-voltage drivetrain provides 50% more torque than the GT, offering improved performance, hill-climbing capabilities, and speed.
Upgraded S-Series Motor: The factory-upgraded motor now features ultra-premium Japanese NSK bearings, enhancing efficiency.
Lowboy Footpads: With a comfortable concave design, these footpads lower the ride height by 5mm, giving riders better control and a more connected feel to the board.
GT Performance Treaded Tire: This tire is designed with compliant sidewalls and a lower durometer compound to improve stability and control at higher speeds.
Lighter Weight: The Onewheel GT S-Series has shed over two pounds from the previous GT model, reducing its overall weight.
These innovations mark a significant advancement from the Onewheel GT, offering riders increased control at higher speeds, better hill-climbing performance, and double the torque headroom at speed, making it a more confident ride for all riders.
Onewheel Factory Pro Team member and test rider, Neil Bennet, shared his experience, stating, “Right away I knew something was different with this board. The safety of the extra torque and the higher speed threshold, anyone performance-minded, they’re going to want to ride this thing.”
The Onewheel GT S-Series also introduces two noteworthy innovations carried over from the GT model:
Custom Shaping 3.0: This feature empowers riders to harness the power of the new drivetrain and customize their ride in various ways.
Haptic Buzz: It provides riders with additional feedback on the board’s performance envelope.
