Mido Ocean Star GMT Special Edition

Mido is enriching its Ocean Star diving watches collection with a version equipped with the highly practical GMT function. It clearly displays the time in two different time zones: home time and local time. On the back of the sporty Swiss watch – fitted with the Caliber 80 automatic movement, which offers a power reserve of up to 80 hours – Mido has engraved the time-zone indications. The extremely easy-to-use GMT function offers twice as much freedom for those who are either by the ocean or on an adrenaline-fuelled adventure.

Caliber 80

The Caliber 80 from MIDO is a next-generation automatic watch movement which offers up to 80 hours of power reserve, twice as much as a regular calibre. It is also available as a chronometer that has been officially certified by the COSC (Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres) for its superior accuracy.

Nivachron™ Balance Spring

On a continuous effort to stay at the forefront of watchmaking expertise, Mido introduced on the development of its mechanical movements, the revolutionary Nivachron™ balance spring. A guarantee of precision, this new titanium-based metal alloy allows to reduce of the effect of magnetic fields while offering great resistance to shocks and the effects of time.

Stainless Steel

Mido exclusively uses high-grade 316L stainless steel for its steel components to ensure complete and continued compatibility with the skin. This material resists corrosion, is unaffected by magnetic fields, and demonstrates excellent durability, making Mido’s stainless steel watches enduring creations that can stand the test of time and weather the elements.
