Nothing Ear 2

Nothing, a London-based consumer tech brand, has launched Ear (2), a pair of true wireless earbuds that combine elite engineering with a unique transparent design. The earbuds offer a personalized audio experience, with features such as Hi-Res Audio certification, LHDC 5.0 technology, and a Personal Sound Profile created through a hearing test taken via the Nothing X app.

Ear (2) is equipped with an 11.6 mm custom driver for deep, powerful bass and crystal-clear highs, and a new dual-chamber design that enhances the overall sound quality with smoother airflow. The earbuds also feature Dual Connection, allowing users to switch easily between two devices, as well as Clear Voice Technology and Personalized Active Noise Cancellation, which adapts to the unique shape of a user’s ear canal.

According to Carl Pei, CEO and Co-founder of Nothing, Ear (2) is a significant upgrade from the company’s first-generation audio product, Ear (1), which sold over 600,000 units. Ear (2) is also built to last, with an IP54 water-resistance rating for its earbuds and IP55 for its charging case.

Ear (2) can provide up to 36 hours of music playback after a full charge of the charging case, with fast charging delivering up to 8 hours on a 10-minute charge. The earbuds also support wireless charging up to 2.5W and can reverse charge on compatible devices like the Nothing Phone (1).

Ear (2) is available for £129/$149 on nothing.tech starting from March 22. The earbuds also come with press controls, which can be customized for individual needs in the Nothing X app, and support Google Fast Pair on Android devices and Microsoft Swift Pair on Windows devices.
