Heilbronn-based audio specialist beyerdynamic has marked its 100th anniversary at the NAMM Show 2024 by introducing a time-limited special edition model, the DT 770 PRO X Limited Edition. Crafted in Germany, these headphones build upon the renowned qualities of the DT 770 PRO line while integrating cutting-edge driver technology, a detachable cable, and enhanced comfort features. Anticipated to hit the market by the end of April, they will be available through beyerdynamic’s online store and select retailers.
Familiar Sound with Added Versatility
Since its inception in the mid-1980s, the DT 770 PRO has been the preferred choice for professionals in the music industry. Renowned for its sound quality, durability, and comfort, it has earned accolades worldwide. With the DT 770 PRO X Limited Edition, beyerdynamic pushes the boundaries further within this acclaimed headphone series.
Retaining the signature sound of the DT 770 PRO—characterized by robust bass, crisp highs, and exceptional impulse response—the limited edition model incorporates the advanced STELLAR.45 dynamic sound transducer. This technology, previously featured in the DT 700 PRO X and DT 900 PRO X studio headphones, ensures precise sound reproduction. Enhanced flexibility comes from the inclusion of a 3-meter detachable cable with a lockable 3-pin Mini XLR connector. Additionally, the headband now boasts an integrated fontanel recess, designed to enhance comfort by alleviating pressure points on the head. As is customary with beyerdynamic studio headphones, both the headband and velour ear cushions are replaceable.
