Converse has partnered with renowned professional skateboarder, artist, and architect, Alexis Sablone, to release her debut performance signature shoe, the AS-1 Pro. This shoe is designed for both skateboarders and creatives who require a comfortable and versatile shoe.
Inspired by Converse’s basketball and court silhouettes from the 1980s, the AS-1 Pro features a newly engineered coring built into the outsole to increase impact protection while maintaining board feel. The visible herringbone outsole has been refined to maximize the grip between the shoe and the board, based on Sablone’s feedback. The shoe also includes a CX foam sock liner for cushioning and impact protection, while the rubber lateral sidewall offers durability for all riders.
The Converse AS-1 Pro will be available worldwide starting May 2, in a green colorway. The red and black colorways will be released on June 2 at select global retailers and on converse.com. This shoe is the first cup sole offering in the Converse CONS line, created through a true design collaboration between Converse and Sablone.
