The Alexander Shorokhoff “Byzantium” limited edition watch is a stunning tribute to the rich and diverse history of Istanbul. The watch’s design is inspired by the city’s blend of cultures and features ornaments from Arabic calligraphy presented in a new interpretation. The dial is divided into four sectors, surrounded by a meander, a motif from ancient Greek art. In the center of the dial, there is a cross, which evokes Istanbul’s Christian past. The hands are color-matched to the dial and the hour markers at 3, 6, 9, and 12 are adorned with high-quality diamonds.
The “Byzantium” watch is powered by 2824.ETA (SW200) automatic movement, which features a hand-engraved and refined oscillating weight, blued screws, and 25 (26) jewels. The watch has a power reserve of approximately 49 (38) hours and displays hours, minutes, central seconds, and dates. The watch has a diameter of 39 mm, and the stainless steel case is rose gold plated with a glass bottom. The watch is 10.6 mm tall and has sapphire crystal on both sides, with an anti-reflective coating on the front. The watch is water-resistant up to 5 atm.
The dial of the watch is cream-colored with silver applique and 5 small diamonds. The hands are rose gold plated. The watch comes with an extra soft calfskin strap in white, white quilted, with an engraved solid stainless steel pin buckle, and 20mm wide. The watch is a limited edition of 50 pieces.
