In an eagerly anticipated revelation, Porsche has unleashed the third iteration of its iconic Panamera, redefining the standards of sporting luxury sedans. This latest rendition of the renowned model stands out with a plethora of digital advancements, a revamped design exuding freshness, and a wider spectrum balancing dynamic performance and driving comfort.
One of the standout features of this third-generation Panamera is the introduction of more potent E-Hybrid powertrains, notably the Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid, showcasing remarkable fuel consumption figures (combined WLTP) at 1.7 – 1.2 l/100 km and CO₂ emissions at 38 – 26 g/km. Notably, its electric range in town spans between 83 to 93 kilometers, marking a significant leap in the realm of electric driving capabilities within the luxury sedan segment.
Porsche has accentuated the Panamera’s sporting character by incorporating even more robust drive systems. The model’s profile is elevated by a modernized operating system and an array of innovative technological integrations, such as the Porsche Active Ride suspension system, a game-changer that harmonizes comfort and sporty driving dynamics emblematic of the Porsche brand.
Highlighting its commitment to superior driving experiences, the new Panamera boasts a state-of-the-art suspension system, including dual-chamber two-valve air suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) as standard. The addition of optional all-wheel steering further refines the car’s handling, enhancing its agility and stability on the road.
Moreover, the integration of the innovative Porsche Active Ride active suspension system, available as an option for the E-Hybrid models, offers an unparalleled blend of comfort and driving dynamics. This system features newly developed active shock absorbers, ensuring precise and lightning-fast responses, effectively mitigating forces resulting from road conditions.
Porsche has significantly upgraded the Panamera’s powertrain options, introducing four efficient E-Hybrid powertrains catering to the escalating demand for eco-friendly drive systems. Among these, the Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid stands out with a revised four-liter V8 turbo engine, delivering an astonishing system output of 500 kW (680 PS) and an impressive system torque of 930 Nm.
Additionally, the interior and exterior design of the new Panamera has received a comprehensive makeover while maintaining the characteristic lines and proportions that define the model. The Porsche Driver Experience cockpit concept ensures a seamless balance between digital interfaces and analog controls, placing essential driving elements along the driver’s axis for enhanced usability and convenience.
In line with the digital revolution, Porsche has integrated the new Panamera into the driver’s digital ecosystem, allowing easy access through personal Porsche IDs and seamless integration with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto. Furthermore, the inclusion of standard Matrix LED headlights and an expanded suite of assistance systems, including active speed assistance and swerve assistance, further solidifies the Panamera’s commitment to driver safety and convenience.
The new Panamera is now available for order, offering enhanced standard equipment compared to its predecessor. Pricing in Germany starts from €107,800 for the base model, with deliveries in Europe set to commence in March 2024.
