The ThruDark End of Days Parka is a high-performance jacket designed for extreme weather conditions. It is constructed from eVent 3L Fabric, a robust laminate membrane that offers an impressive 20,000 HH waterproof rating and 20,000 gsm breathability. This means that the jacket is highly waterproof and breathable, making it ideal for use in wet and snowy environments.
The jacket is also fortified with abrasion-resistant, stronger-than-steel black Dyneema blended with high-tenacity Cordura at critical areas. This material is used to construct modern ballistic armor.
The jacket is insulated with a combination of synthetic Polartec smart fleece fabrics and premium goose-down fill. The goose-down fill has a 750-fill power with a 90:10 down-to-feather ratio for maximum insulation with minimal shedding.
An all-new synthetically engineered fur lines the hood of the End of Days Parka. This fur is specifically fabricated to keep the breeze from your face and the elements from your eyes.
The jacket also features Kyoto fabric reinforcements, which are a black Dyneema x Cordura blend targeted at key areas around the elbows, forearms, and shoulders. This helps to provide extra protection in these areas.
The pockets of the jacket are lined with Polartec high loft, providing additional insulated space and respite for the wearer’s hands in extreme cold. The Polartec high loft storm flap lining also helps to prevent heat escaping through the front zip.
Other features of the End of Days Parka include an inbuilt snow skirt, a waist drawcord, a drop hem design, side zips, front d-rings, and a hook & loop arm patch system. The jacket also has oversized hook & loop cuffs and serates 4-way stretch elasticated cuffs with thumb holes, making it easy to wear even when wearing gloves.
The ThruDark End of Days Parka also has enhanced storage capacity, with hidden external pockets, 2 large chest pockets, and internal dump pockets. The jacket also has sleeve zipped pockets for stowage of smaller expedition essentials.
The jacket also features a grab handle located in the center back yoke, an embroidered ThruDark logo, and a ThruDark bespoke heritage liner, which is unique to the ThruDark brand and available in any shade of black.
