The Converse x FRGMT Weapon

In 1986, Converse introduced the Weapon on the basketball court, and it quickly became associated with basketball culture, teams, and players. Today, the classic silhouette returns in its original form through a collaboration with Hiroshi Fujiwara’s fragment.

The Converse x FRGMT Weapon features a full leather upper with a color-blocking design along the Y-bar, collar underlay, Star Chevron logo underlay, and toe box, all in a classic Sport Royal blue and black color scheme. A fragment design logo is debossed on the lateral heel cap, adding to the understated branding. The leather woven tongue features an original Converse Weapon-branded label and terry cloth lining.

The collaboration stays true to both the Weapon’s original form and fragment’s signature aesthetic. The apparel capsule includes a wool varsity jacket, french terry hoodie, and two loose-fit jersey tees.

Converse has long been embedded in communities centered around basketball, sport, music, and art. The reintroduction of the Weapon allows the next generation of creatives to discover the iconic silhouette for themselves.
