Sony has unveiled its newest addition to its range, the highly anticipated TA-AN1000 7.2ch AV amplifier. This latest model offers an immersive cinematic experience, including the revolutionary 360 Spatial Sound Mapping technology, which creates multiple phantom speakers around the room to enhance the viewing experience. Sony’s Digital Cinema Auto Calibration IX (D.C.A.C. IX) measures speaker placement in 3D using the supplied calibration microphone to correct the distance, angle, sound pressure, and frequency response of each speaker, ensuring optimal sound quality.
The TA-AN1000 is compatible with the latest video formats, including 8K and 4K120, HDR10, HLG, Dolby Vision, and IMAX Enhanced, preserving the original picture quality when played through the device. Gamers will also enjoy smoother gameplay with support for formats such as 4K120, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) in HDMI 2.1.
Music lovers can enjoy their favorite artists with the device’s easy access to music applications, including Spotify Connect, Chromecast, Apple Airplay 2, and Works with Sonos. Additionally, the TA-AN1000 supports High-Resolution Audio and DSD (Direct Stream Digital) native playback, ensuring crystal-clear precision.
The TA-AN1000 also seamlessly integrates with Sony’s optional wireless speakers and subwoofers, such as the SA-RS5 and SA-RS3S rear speakers and the SA-SW5 and SA-SW37 subwoofers, for an even more cinematic experience.
Setting up the TA-AN1000 is made more manageable with its new and intuitive guided setup, allowing for easy configuration of a perfect setup.
