Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Worldtimer 2023

In a significant stride towards conquering time zones across the globe, OMEGA’s Seamaster Aqua Terra Worldtimer has gained immense popularity among international travelers and avid watch collectors. Building on this success, OMEGA is thrilled to unveil three new models, including a titanium edition featuring a stunning dial created through laser ablation, along with two striking stainless-steel options.

These latest additions to the Worldtimer collection boast scratch-resistant ceramic bezels and a distinctive Worldtimer display that sets them apart. At the heart of the dial lies a captivating laser-ablated representation of Earth, viewed from above the North Pole, intricately etched onto a grade 5 titanium surface. While this remarkable watch-scape is not visible to the naked eye, it is crafted with a domed design, perfectly emulating the curvature of our planet. Encircling the topographic map is a 24-hour indication beneath a protective hesalite glass, divided into day and night sections.

Among the plethora of global destinations featured on each dial and its outer ring, OMEGA’s hometown of BIENNE, Switzerland holds a prominent place. The place names, except for London, are accentuated in yellow gold on the stainless-steel versions, while London itself stands out in red to signify Greenwich Mean Time, now formally known as Universal Time Coordinated (UTC).

Mr. Raynald Aeschlimann, President, and CEO of OMEGA, expressed his enthusiasm for the innovative and inspiring new watches, stating, “At OMEGA, we pride ourselves on our pioneering spirit, and these watches are a call to action. Step out into the world! The dials are veritable works of art, evoking a sense of awe and adventure. Behind these captivating displays lies cutting-edge technology. They are not just beautiful and enjoyable to wear, but also true collectibles.”

Making a bold and sporty statement, the 43 mm Worldtimer model in lightweight and corrosion-resistant titanium stands as the ultimate showpiece. OMEGA has meticulously laser-created the entire black and grey dial, including its vibrant colors, without relying on transfers. The only exception is the word “LONDON,” where red varnish is meticulously applied by hand. Complementing the matte dial is a brushed black ceramic bezel, blackened hands, and indexes filled with white Super-LumiNova that emits a captivating blue glow in the dark. The watch is further enhanced by an integrated strap in black structured rubber with grey stitching, an additional decorative link in brushed grade 2 titanium, and a grade 2 titanium clasp.

For those seeking a more classic appeal, the stainless-steel models offer two distinct style options. One features a matching stainless steel bracelet with a butterfly clasp, while the other showcases an integrated green rubber strap with grey stitching, an additional decorative link in polished steel, and a polished-brushed fold-over clasp.

Both 43 mm stainless-steel models boast a sun-brushed PVD dial in an elegant shade of green, encircled by a polished-brushed green ceramic bezel. Adding a touch of radiance to the dial are hands and indexes crafted in 18K Moonshineâ„¢ Gold.

Powering each new Seamaster Aqua Terra Worldtimer is the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8938, a testament to precision as it meets the exacting standards set by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS). Additionally, these timepieces are water-resistant to a depth of 15 bar (150 m / 500 ft), ensuring their reliability even in aquatic environments.
