Renowned Finnish Formula One icon, Mika Häkkinen, has joined forces with electric superbike pioneer Verge Motorcycles to unveil a limited-edition luxury bike, blending a striking design with cutting-edge technology. The collaboration between Häkkinen and Verge Motorcycles has resulted in a signature model that epitomizes exclusivity, with only one hundred units set to be produced.
Drawing upon his vast experience and expertise, Häkkinen, a two-time World Champion, took a hands-on approach in designing the bike, ensuring that no detail was overlooked. Each bike in the limited series is individually numbered and bears Häkkinen’s exclusive signature. Reflecting on the project, Häkkinen remarked, “This electric superbike represents the future of riding and is a testament to a life lived to the fullest!”
Having recently joined Verge Motorcycles’ Advisory Board as well as investing in the company, Häkkinen’s collaboration on the signature model showcases the combined strengths of these industry-leading players.
Expressing pride in Häkkinen’s involvement, Verge Motorcycles’ CEO, Tuomo Lehtimäki, stated, “We are extremely proud to have F1 legend Mika Häkkinen design the signature model. He is one of the greatest drivers of all time, and breaking boundaries and enjoying the thrill of speed is something that we very much share in common.”
The luxury superbike, a result of Häkkinen’s design vision and Verge’s innovative technologies, embodies a powerful and elegant aesthetic. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the model stands as the most advanced and high-performance electric superbike currently available, boasting a remarkable range of 350 kilometers and a fast-charging time of just 35 minutes. Notably, it incorporates Verge’s patented and internationally acclaimed rim motor, situated within the rear wheel.
The exceptional materials utilized in the bike’s construction further enhance its uniqueness. Carbon fiber fairings and a specially designed ceramic surface treatment protect the bike against scratches. Complemented by full black shock absorbers and intricate dark grey and silver surface elements, the overall design exudes strength and sophistication.
Enthusiasts can now purchase the extraordinary superbike, designed in collaboration with Mika Häkkinen, via Verge Motorcycles’ online store. The availability extends to Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Finland, Estonia, and Monaco. Additionally, Verge Motorcycles is set to inaugurate its flagship store in Monaco, coinciding with the Monaco Grand Prix. This physical store will serve as the manufacturer’s first showroom, allowing customers to experience the bike firsthand. The retail price for this exclusive offering, excluding taxes, is set at €80,000.
