Glashütte Original has unveiled the PanoInverse Limited Edition, an exquisite mechanical timepiece with only 50 pieces available. The watch is housed in a 42mm platinum case and draws inspiration from the intricate urban structures of a large city. It features sapphire crystals on both the front and back, along with a partially skeletonized movement, offering transparency and providing an immersive experience for viewers who can see their own wrist become part of the watch’s history.
The Glashütte Original PanoInverse Limited Edition stands out with its unusual design, which showcases the balance bridge and duplex swan-neck fine adjustment on the dial side. The new arrangement required several newly designed components to be installed in inverse order. The watch’s three-quarter plate and butterfly bridge display a laser-engraved galvanic black rhodium skyline, which is also present on the back of the timepiece.
The watch design incorporates the Golden Ratio, seen in the hour and minute displays, small second, and understated power reserve indication, giving it a well-balanced asymmetric layout. The grey Louisiana alligator nubuck leather strap, complemented by a platinum fold fastener, adds a touch of elegance to the timepiece.
The watch’s manual winding Calibre 66-12 beats at a frequency of 4 Hz and has a running time of 41 hours. The movement is handcrafted, decorated, and regulated by Glashütte Original’s master watchmakers, with screw-mounted gold chatons, ruby-red jewels, blued screws, beveled edges, and polished steel parts. These features are a testament to the PanoInverse Limited Edition’s authenticity as a genuine Glashütte Original masterpiece.
