Casio has announced the release of a new addition to its G-SQUAD line in the G-SHOCK family of shock-resistant watches. The GBD-H2000 is a high-tech sports watch that offers support for a wide range of sports and boasts a lighter weight than previous models, making it even more comfortable to wear during exercise.
Equipped with GPS functionality and six sensors, including an optical sensor to measure heart rate, a compass, altitude/air pressure sensor, thermo sensor, accelerometer, and gyroscope, the GBD-H2000 is designed to measure distance, speed, pace, and more to support a variety of activities, from running and biking to swimming.
The watch also features training analysis functions, which use algorithms developed by Polar Electro Oy to measure the burden on the heart and lungs, analyze ratios of energy used separately for carbohydrates, proteins, and fats, and perform sleep tracking. Pairing the watch with the dedicated CASIO WATCHES app allows users to review training data in greater detail, accessing activity logs, advice on improving sleep, and more.

This makes the watch 38% lighter than the previous model, the GBD-H1000, resulting in an even more comfortable fit on the wrist.
The GBD-H2000 also features solar-assisted charging, which improves ease of use by offering time display powered by solar charging even when the battery runs low. This means users can rely on the watch to keep track of time during outdoor activities without worrying about the battery running out.
