Swedish motorbike producer Cake produces modern, mild, and eco-friendly bikes which are as fashionable as they’re revolutionary. The corporate launched its first model in 2018, the Kalk motorcycle that ultimately went on to obtain prestigious awards just like the Red Dot Design Award and the iF Design Award. The Kalk&, Ösa+ and Ösa Lite motorbikes adopted, together with Kalk INK which made its debut in March 2020, and the brand’s first racing motorbikes later that very same 12 months. Now, the corporate has revealed its latest innovation: the Cake Makka electric moped series. Specifically designed for city environments, this third Cake platform features state-of-the-art technology and the brand’s signature clean, modern design.

The Makka mopeds suit commuting in addition to short-haul commercial transportation necessities. Versatile and easy to adapt to totally different needs, the Cake Makka series is available in eight configurations. Aside from the usual version, the mopeds also can feature passenger or child seats, racks, prime boxes, rear massive baskets, and extra. The ultra-light however highly effective mopeds are available in two variations, Flex and Range. Whereas the previous places speed first and can attain as much as 28 mph, the latter provides extra range – as much as 35 miles, with a top speed of 15 mph.

Each version include a light-weight aluminum frame, motorcycle tires, a touchscreen display, and a rear cargo rack. The three.6 kW drivetrain comes with a 1.5 kWh battery that takes around two hours to charge as much as 80%. Finally, the series goals to be extra accessible, because the Makka Range mopeds won’t require a motorcycle license. Manufactured with custom elements in the brand’s Stockholm manufacturing unit, the new series will begin delivery in early 2022. Prices for the Cake Makka mopeds begin at $3,500, with pre-orders open now for customers in the US and Europe.
