Autodromo Group C Sport Chronograph

In the 1980s and early 1990s, motorsport enthusiasts witnessed the evolution of sports racing cars like never before. The Group C Era of endurance racing was marked by the introduction of cutting-edge materials and digital systems, which propelled the sport to new heights. The Autodromo Group C Sport Chronograph pays homage to this iconic era of racing, and the new watch takes you back in time with its retro styling and advanced features.

The Group C Sport Chronograph features a sleek and aerodynamic stainless steel case that’s inspired by the forms of cars like the Porsche 962C and the Sauber C9. The case is paired with brightly colored pushers that reference the fluorescent-hued mirrors of Group C cars, which helped differentiate them at races like the Le Mans 24 Hours. The chamfered sapphire crystal reveals a simple black and white LCD module with a blue EL backlight, reminiscent of the first generation of digital watches that were popular in the 1980s.

The Autodromo Group C Sport Chronograph features a range of useful functions, including a time and day/date display mode, chronograph and split time mode and an alarm. The watch can time laps with split times and display time and date with micro-precision, all while retaining the simplicity of a timepiece from an era when a digital watch was the precursor to a smartwatch.

The watch is water-resistant up to 30 meters (3 ATM), making it ideal for water-based activities like swimming or snorkeling. The reversible custom molded FKM rubber strap ensures that the watch remains secure on your wrist, and the 20mm lugs enable you to swap out the rubber strap for any of Autodromo’s leather straps to customize the look of your timepiece.

The Autodromo Group C Sport Chronograph has a case width of 36mm, a lug-to-lug distance of 42mm, and a case thickness of 10mm, making it a perfect size for those who prefer a more compact watch. Whether you’re a fan of endurance racing or just appreciate the design aesthetics of the 1980s, the Autodromo Group C Sport Chronograph is a must-have timepiece for anyone who wants to own a piece of racing history.

The Autodromo Group C Sport Chronograph is a fitting tribute to the Digital Age of Endurance Racing. It celebrates the innovations of that era with its design, materials, and features. The watch is both functional and stylish, and it’s a perfect example of how modern watchmaking can be used to pay homage to the past while still keeping up with the latest technology.
