2023 Ferrari Roma Spider

The name is a nod to the 1960s-era Rome, famous for its cinema and style. The Roma Spider is the first front-mid-engine spider with a soft fabric roof since the 365 GTS4 in 1968. This new vehicle is designed to be new yet familiar, with a forward-looking aesthetic that nods to the past.

The design of the Roma Spider closely preserves the perfect proportions and volumes of the Roma coupé. The elegance of the spider acknowledges iconic Ferrari spiders of the past, such as the 250 GT California and the 365 GTS4 ‘Daytona,’ while also expressing a resolutely forward-looking aesthetic. The Roma Spider’s looks can be customized with five different soft-top colors and two different roof fabrics, including a new technical material that mimics the appearance of carbon fiber.

The rear tonneau cover is a significant design element that has been integrated into the back seats, headrests, and tonneau cover. The aim of the design is to create one clean line, whether the roof is open or closed. The result is a perfect balance of coupe and spider.

Opening the roof is marginally faster than the retractable hard top used on recent convertibles, and it’s possible to deploy the opening mechanism at driving speeds of up to 60 km/h. Sound insulation and thermal performance are equal to those of a retractable hard top, and the driving experience is uncompromised whether the roof is up or down.

The Roma Spider is designed for driving purists. Thanks to its all-aluminum chassis and lightweight components, it has the best weight-to-power ratio in its class. The 620cv V8 engine and eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox ensure excellent performance, as well as comfort and efficiency. Heightened driving thrills in all situations are guaranteed by its Side Slip Control 6.0, Ferrari Dynamic Enhancer, five-setting manettino, and standard carbon-ceramic brakes.

The Roma Spider is a perfect symbiosis of sophisticated elegance and dynamism, and it guarantees a relaxing or thrilling driving experience, depending on your mood. With the Roma Spider, the idea of twin souls in a Ferrari has never been more complete.
